The Sheriff’s RCCC page says RCCC can accept newly arrested people booked by law-enforcement agencies in the southern part of Sacramento County. The online inmate result is therefore more useful than assuming every Sacramento-area arrest begins and ends at 651 I Street.

Can You Get Sacramento Arrest Mugshots?

Two 45-minute social visits per week
The current Main Jail page lists morning, afternoon and evening visiting periods. Visits are first-come, first-served subject to space. No more than three people, including children, may visit at once.
Bring accepted current identification. Cell phones, smart watches, purses, backpacks and many other personal items cannot enter the visit area.
Do not mail normal correspondence directly to the jail
The Sheriff moved general correspondence to the Securus Digital Mail Center. Legal and confidential mail follow a different procedure and continue to route to the incarcerated person’s housing facility.

RCCC has a specific early-morning pickup process that is easy to miss. The Sheriff’s current RCCC page instructs people picking up someone on a scheduled release date to report to the gatehouse between 4:30 and 5:00 a.m..
Verify the release before making the trip.
Timing can still be affected by custody and administrative processing.
The RCCC page says people without a ride are transported to the Main Jail in downtown Sacramento for release.
