The David L. Moss Criminal Justice Center (DLMCJC) is Tulsa County’s jail at 300 North Denver Avenue. TCSO provides both a name search and a booking-ID list through the Tulsa County Inmate Information Center.

   Common names can produce multiple people. Compare the legal name, booking ID, booking date, DLM number and any other identifiers exposed by the official record.

   A booking charge reflects the jail intake stage. Move to OSCN or the appropriate court when you need to know what was formally filed and what ultimately happened.

Do not assume everyone arrested inside Tulsa city limits appears first in the David L. Moss search. The City of Tulsa operates a Municipal Jail Hub for people booked into the Tulsa Municipal Jail.

Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office issued another public warning on May 6, 2026 after scammers contacted relatives of jail inmates and claimed they could arrange release for money.

Tulsa Police says arrestee information and facts concerning an arrest are available through an Arrest and Booking Data Sheet. A useful request should identify the person and narrow the arrest date.

   If you want arrest information, identify the Arrest and Booking Data Sheet rather than submitting a broad request for “everything.”

   Use the complete legal name when known.

   TPD asks for an approximate arrest date within a few days of the actual arrest so Records can identify the correct document.

   Use the court for conviction information

   TPD says its Records Section does not typically maintain the most current conviction information. Use Tulsa County District Court/OSCN or Tulsa Municipal Court depending on the case.

TCSO uses a separate Open Records process from Tulsa Police. The Sheriff’s Office says written requests are preferred and currently accepts requests by U.S. mail or email to its Public Information Officer.

Tulsa Police provides an official warrant-search page with links for both municipal and county warrants. TCSO also links a county warrant search from its own site.

A Tulsa jail lookup tells you about custody. OSBI’s Criminal History Information Request Portal (CHIRP) is the state route for a name-based Oklahoma criminal-history search.

   Account creation itself is free. You are charged for searches you request.

   Prepare the full name and date of birth

   CHIRP requires first name, last name and date of birth. It searches three years before and after the submitted birth date for possible matches.

   CHIRP allows up to three aliases without an additional criminal-history search fee. Additional identifiers can improve matching.

   Understand the limitation

   OSBI says its records are based on Oklahoma fingerprint-based arrest and conviction information reported to the state. It does not provide criminal-history information from other states.

1. Check both Tulsa jail systems. David L. Moss and the Tulsa Municipal Jail answer different custody questions.
2. Retry using the legal name. A nickname or spelling variation can cause a false no-result.
3. Search the court after release. The criminal case can remain active after the person leaves jail.

6. Sending money through a search-engine advertisement. Start from TCSO’s official jail page before following a deposit-provider link.
7. Requesting a Tulsa Police “background check” when you really need a court outcome. Use the court of record for current disposition information.
8. Submitting a vague Open Records request. Identify the person, date, event and exact document when possible.
9. Using ODOC to look for a fresh local booking. Start with the local jail. Use ODOC when state correctional custody or supervision is relevant.
10. Using a jail or mugshot record for regulated screening. Employment, housing, licensing, credit and similar decisions can require legally compliant screening procedures and accurate disposition information.
