Iredell Recent Arrests: Mugshots, Bookings & Records

The Iredell County Sheriff’s Police-to-Citizen portal includes Inmate Inquiry, Event Search and a Daily Bulletin. Start with Inmate Inquiry when your primary question is whether someone is currently or recently in county custody.

   Go directly to Iredell County Sheriff’s Office P2C. Confirm the domain before searching personal information.

   Select Inmate Inquiry

   Use Inmate Inquiry for a current jail or booking question. Do not use Event Search simply because both tools are inside P2C; they answer different questions.

   Search the person’s name carefully

   Start with the legal last name and first name. For a difficult search, try a known spelling variation, hyphenated surname or maiden name rather than assuming a blank result means no arrest occurred.

   Open the inmate detail before relying on a match

   P2C inmate-detail records can display information such as name, age, race/sex, arrest date, release date, next court date, image and total bond amount when those fields are populated.

   Compare identity details

   Do not rely only on a matching surname or mugshot. Compare the available age, sex, arrest timing, charge information and booking details before treating the result as the person you intended to find.

   Use the next source based on your task

   For court status, continue to eCourts. For visitation, money, mail or phone service, switch to the detention-center information. For an incident report, use Sheriff Records.

The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office operates the detention facility at 204 Constitution Lane in Statesville. The county describes it as a North Carolina Class Five detention facility capable of housing up to 501 inmates.

Iredell detention visitation is conducted by video and is by appointment. Approved visitors must schedule at least one day before the visit. Regular-population visits are listed as 15 minutes.

   Confirm the person is still housed in Iredell County

   Recheck P2C before scheduling, especially if the booking or court activity is recent.

   Use the official NCIC visitation route

   The detention-center visitation page directs visitors to NCIC to arrange visits.

   Schedule at least one day in advance

   Approved visitors must make an appointment before the day of the visit.

   Follow the visitor limit

   The county currently limits visitation to two adults plus minor children.

   Leave restricted items out of the visitation room

   No bags, cameras or cell phones are permitted in the visitation rooms. Proper attire is required.

Iredell County currently offers three routes through its inmate-money system: the Main Jail lobby kiosk, telephone deposit and online deposit. The county says money orders and cash are not accepted by mail or at the front window.

   Get the inmate ID number

   The online deposit process requires the inmate’s ID number. Use the official inmate search or contact the detention center if you cannot identify the correct account.

   Use Iredell County Facility ID 228687

   The county publishes facility ID 228687 for its deposit system. Confirm the facility and inmate before completing payment.

   Choose kiosk, phone or online deposit

   The jail lobby kiosk is available 24 hours. The county also lists phone deposits at 866-232-1899 and an online TouchPay route.

   Keep the transaction receipt

   The county says deposited money is available to the inmate the next business day. Keep your payment confirmation in case the account does not update as expected.

The detention center uses NCIC Inmate Communications. Inmates receive telephone access after booking. Incoming calls are not accepted, except voicemail messages to approved inmates. Three-way calls are prohibited.

Ordinary inmate mail is routed through an off-site scanning process. Legal mail, medical mail, books, magazines and newspapers follow a different route and should not be sent to the general scanning address.

North Carolina completed statewide eCourts implementation in all 100 counties in October 2025. Iredell County cases therefore use the statewide electronic court environment for current public case-search and hearing tools.

   Go to NC eCourts Portal. The portal includes Smart Search, Search Hearings and other court-service tools.

   Use Smart Search for case information

   Search by the person’s legal name or case number when available. Common names can produce multiple cases, so compare county, case number and case details carefully.

   Use Search Hearings for court dates

   If your main question is “when is the next hearing?”, use the hearing-search function rather than relying solely on a next-court-date field copied from a jail record.

   Check the filed charge and case activity

   The court record is the better source for what happened after the arrest. Charges can be amended or resolved differently from the original jail wording.

   Contact the Clerk of Superior Court when needed

   The Iredell County Clerk of Superior Court main number is 704-832-6600. The criminal department is listed at 704-832-6602.

The Sheriff’s Records Division processes, distributes and stores documentation of incidents and arrests. Copies of incident reports are available at the Sheriff’s Statesville and Mooresville records offices, and the county currently says there is no charge for an incident-report copy.

   Do not go to Sheriff Records for a report created by another police agency.

   Prepare identifying information

   Bring or provide the incident date, location, involved person’s name and report or case number if you have it. Specific information helps records staff locate the correct report.

   Choose Statesville or Mooresville

   Both Sheriff’s records locations provide incident-report copies, but their office schedules are different.

   Ask about restrictions before making a special trip

   Not every investigative or protected record can necessarily be released in full. Call the records office if you need a specific document beyond an ordinary incident-report copy.

The Sheriff’s Records offices also provide fingerprinting for employment and other purposes. This is not the same service as requesting an arrest report or searching P2C.

The Sheriff’s Criminal Warrant Service Unit serves criminal papers received by the office. Those processes include warrants for arrest, orders for arrest, criminal summonses, governor’s warrants, fugitive warrants and other criminal process.

The NCDAC offender search is useful after the local-jail route no longer fits. It contains current and historical information on North Carolina state prisoners, probationers and parolees, including records dating back to 1972. NCDAC specifically says the database does not include county jail information.

NC SAVAN is North Carolina’s automated victim-assistance and notification system. The Department of Adult Correction says it connects with North Carolina jails and adult-correction systems and provides a 24-hour toll-free service for offender-status information and notification registration.

   Use the person’s legal name and available identifiers so notification is tied to the correct person.

   NC SAVAN supports automated custody-status notifications and can be accessed through its service channels.

   Notification only helps if the system has a working contact method.

   Verify safety-critical information directly

   For an immediate release concern, court hearing or threat, contact the jail, court, victim advocate or law enforcement directly rather than relying only on automated alerts.

1. Using a private mugshot page before P2C. Start with the Sheriff’s own inmate and public-information portal.
2. Assuming Event Search and Inmate Inquiry are the same. Event Search shows public-safety events; Inmate Inquiry is the custody-oriented search.
3. Calling the jail for a final court disposition. Use the North Carolina Judicial Branch and eCourts for case status and disposition.
4. Mailing money to the jail. Iredell says cash and money orders are not accepted by mail or at the front window for inmate-account deposits.
5. Sending legal mail to the Longview scanning address. Legal and medical mail must go to the facility under the facility’s rules.
6. Mailing irreplaceable photos to the scanning center. Processed physical mail sent to the scanning address is destroyed after electronic delivery.
7. Showing up for visitation without an appointment. Approved visitors must schedule at least one day before the visit.
8. Using NCDAC as a county-jail search. NCDAC specifically says its offender database does not include county jail information.
9. Treating the Wanted Persons list as a complete live warrant database. Verify current criminal-process questions with the Sheriff’s Warrant Service Unit or court.
10. Using an arrest listing for regulated screening. Employment, housing, credit and other regulated decisions can require legally compliant consumer-reporting procedures and reliable disposition information.
