Bucks Recent Arrests: Mugshots, Bookings & Records

Independent public-record guide: USA-Arrests.org is not Bucks County Government, Bucks County Department of Corrections, Bucks County Sheriff’s Office, Bucks County Clerk of Courts, any municipal police department, Pennsylvania State Police, the Unified Judicial System of Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania Department of Corrections, PA SAVIN or any court or law-enforcement agency.

An arrest, jail admission, charge, warrant entry or booking photograph is not a conviction. Charges can change and custody can end before a criminal case is resolved. Use the court docket when the legal outcome matters.

Bucks County Recent Arrests: Start With the Active-Offender Lookup

Bucks County does not present recent arrests through the same kind of public web mugshot roster used by some counties. The county’s most direct public custody tool is its Interactive Voice Response lookup: call 267-915-4072 to check active offenders and hear available bond, Bucks County Corrections number, housing and visiting information.

What Bucks County searchers should know:

All newly committed county offenders arrive at the Main Correctional Facility for processing and classification. Bucks County also operates men’s and women’s community correction centers, so a housing location can change after intake. Use the IVR or Corrections staff when the current facility matters.

For statewide context—especially when you are unsure whether Bucks County, Pennsylvania DOC, PA SAVIN, PATCH or the state court portal is the correct source—see our Pennsylvania recent-arrest records guide.

How To Use the Bucks County Active-Offender IVR

The Bucks County Corrections IVR is useful because it answers the question many “recent arrest” searches are really asking: is this person currently active in the county correctional system?

  1. 1

    Call the official IVR number

Dial 267-915-4072. Bucks County identifies this as the public Interactive Voice Response lookup for active offenders.

  2. 2

Search the person using the prompts provided

Have the person’s legal name ready. If several people have similar names, do not assume the first match is correct.

  3. 3

Listen for the Bucks County Corrections number

The IVR can provide the offender’s Bucks County Corrections identification number. Save it; the BCP number is useful for mail, money orders and inmate-account tasks.

  4. 4

Record the housing and bond information

The automated service can provide housing location and bond information for active offenders. Housing can change after intake and classification.

  5. 5

Use the court docket for the criminal case

The IVR is a custody tool. For charges filed with the court, hearing dates and disposition, switch to Pennsylvania UJS Case Search.

  6. 6

Call Corrections if the answer affects an immediate decision

For a live facility question, call Bucks County Corrections at 215-345-3700. Online and automated information should not replace direct confirmation when you are about to post bail, travel or arrange pickup.

No IVR result does not automatically mean “no arrest.”

The person may have been released, transferred, entered under a different spelling, be held by another jurisdiction or no longer be an active Bucks County Corrections offender. Check the court docket and the arresting agency before drawing a conclusion.

03

Booking photos and arrest records

Why Bucks County Mugshots May Be Harder To Find Than Custody Information

The county’s public-facing Corrections resources emphasize active-offender information, facility services and court follow-up rather than a continuously updated web gallery of recent mugshots. If the photograph is not online, use the record that answers your actual question instead of assuming the arrest did not occur.

Better source depending on what you need
Question Best Source Why
Is the person in Bucks County custody now? Corrections IVR Designed for active-offender information.
Where is the person housed? IVR / Corrections Housing can change after intake and classification.
What criminal case was filed? UJS Case Search Court docket is the better source for filed charges and case events.
What did police document? Arresting police agency The arresting/investigating agency controls its own police records.
Do I need a Pennsylvania criminal-history check? PSP PATCH PATCH checks the Pennsylvania State Police criminal-history repository.
Do not use an old mugshot as current custody evidence.

A copied booking image can remain online after release, dismissal, a plea or another court outcome. Match arrest-stage information to the current court docket whenever the case status matters.

04

Follow the arrest into court

How To Search a Bucks County Criminal Case

Bucks County directs users to Pennsylvania’s Unified Judicial System for online criminal case information. This is the key follow-up after an arrest because a jail entry does not tell you how the prosecution or court case developed.

  1. 1

    Open UJS Case Search

Use the official Pennsylvania court Case Search.

  2. 2

    Choose the correct case level

Very early criminal proceedings may involve a Magisterial District Court. Cases held for court can move into the Bucks County Court of Common Pleas.

  3. 3

Search with the strongest identifiers available

Use the legal name and compare date of birth, county, docket number or other displayed identifiers. Common names require extra care.

  4. 4

    Read the docket timeline

Do not stop at the initial charge description. Review later entries for hearings, arraignment, amendments, pleas, dismissals, sentencing and other recorded activity.

  5. 5

Contact the Bucks County Clerk of Courts for criminal court records

The Clerk of Courts is the custodian of Bucks County Court of Common Pleas criminal records. Call 215-348-6389 when the public docket does not answer your records question.

1 Arrest / complaint Police and MDJ stage
2 Preliminary hearing Probable-cause stage
3 Formal arraignment If held for Common Pleas
4 Disposition Plea, trial or other outcome
Bucks County criminal-case timing:

The county’s criminal-case guidance says that if a Magisterial District Judge finds sufficient evidence at the preliminary hearing, the accused is generally scheduled for formal arraignment in the Court of Common Pleas approximately four weeks later. Actual scheduling depends on the case.

Bucks County listed bail fee $25 + 3% of the first $1,000 + 2% of the amount over $1,000

Verify the current fee with the Clerk before paying. Bail money may be applied to court costs when authorized, and eligible refunds are handled through the Clerk of Courts.

Bucks County specifically states that those payments are not accepted at the Correctional Facility.

Visitation, Money, Commissary and Mail at Bucks County Corrections

In-person visitation

Get onto the inmate’s approved list first

Visitors must be on the inmate’s approved visitation list. The inmate manages that list, so questions about being added should be directed to the inmate rather than assuming the lobby can add you.

  • Visitors over 16 need photo identification.
  • Children under 16 must be with a legal guardian.
  • Ages 16–18 require legal-guardian approval.
  • Two visitors may visit at one time.

Correctional and police records

How To Request a Bucks County Corrections Record

A jail record, police incident report and court file come from different custodians. If you need a Bucks County Corrections inmate record rather than the public IVR information, use the county’s specific records process.

  1. 1

Determine whether the request is for your own corrections record

Bucks County says a current or former Department of Corrections inmate may authorize release of records concerning himself or herself.

  2. 2

Use DOC-LD Form 1 when applicable

The county directs the current/former inmate to submit DOC-LD Form 1 in person. A Form 1A is available where the individual is physically unable to complete Form 1.

  3. 3

    Bring valid photo identification

Valid photo ID is required for the in-person inmate authorization process.

  4. 4

Do not mail an ordinary authorization request

The county states that only subpoenas can be submitted by mail through this Corrections records procedure.

Do not mix Pennsylvania databases

PATCH, PA DOC and PA SAVIN Answer Different Questions

Source Use It For Do Not Use It As
Bucks County IVR Active county offenders, bond, BCP number, housing and visit information. A complete Pennsylvania criminal-history search.
UJS Case Search Criminal docket, hearings, court level and disposition. A live county-jail roster.
PSP PATCH Pennsylvania criminal-history background check. Today’s Bucks County booking list.
PA DOC Locator People currently under Pennsylvania DOC jurisdiction or supervision. A Bucks County jail lookup.
PA SAVIN Supported custody information and release / transfer / escape alerts. A court-disposition search.
PATCH standard check $22 Current PSP-listed fee
PATCH notarization +$5 When applicable
PA SAVIN phone 866-972-7284 Free notification service
PA DOC is not the first place to look for a new Bucks County arrest.

The Pennsylvania Department of Corrections says its locator does not include people incarcerated in county facilities. Use PA DOC after state jurisdiction makes sense, such as after a state-prison commitment or for a department-supervised individual.

If a search crosses state lines, do not keep using Pennsylvania databases. USA-Arrests.org also has a separate New York recent-arrest records guide explaining New York’s different jail, court and state-custody systems.

Troubleshooting a missing person

Why a Bucks County Arrest May Not Appear in Your Search

What to check when the Bucks County search does not find the person
Possible Reason What It Means Next Step
Person was released The IVR focuses on active offenders. Search the UJS court docket.
Name mismatch Nickname, maiden name, suffix, spelling or hyphenation may differ. Retry the legal identity and confirm with Corrections.
Arrest is extremely recent Intake or arraignment may still be occurring. Call Corrections or the arresting police agency.
Different county / Philadelphia The person may be housed outside Bucks County. Confirm the arrest location before searching another jail.
Transferred to state custody The person may now be under Pennsylvania DOC jurisdiction. Use the PA DOC locator.
Restricted record Juvenile, sealed, expunged or otherwise protected material may not be public. Contact the court or agency; do not attempt to bypass restrictions.
  1. Call the IVR again using the correct legal name.Save any BCP number returned.
  2. Search UJS.A released person can still have an active criminal case.
  3. Confirm the arresting police agency.Bucks County includes many municipal police jurisdictions.
  4. Check whether state custody makes sense.Only then move to the Pennsylvania DOC locator.
  5. Call Bucks County Corrections when timing matters.Main number: 215-345-3700.

Wrong-source prevention

Common Bucks County Arrest Search Mistakes

  1. Looking only for a web mugshot roster. Bucks County’s official active-offender route is the telephone IVR at 267-915-4072.
  2. Using PA DOC for a new county arrest. PA DOC says county-facility inmates are not included in its locator.
  3. Reading a booking charge as the final court result. Use UJS and the Bucks County Clerk of Courts to follow the case.
  4. Driving to post bail without checking the time. The Clerk handles regular business hours; the facility has specific evening procedures and requires a call after 10 p.m., weekends and holidays.
  5. Bringing the wrong bail payment. Bucks County lists cash or certified checks. Real-estate collateral must go through the Clerk or District Court of record.
  6. Sending personal inmate mail to 1730 S Easton Road. Ordinary personal correspondence uses the scanning-mail address in Phoenix, Maryland.
  7. Trying to visit before being approved. The inmate controls the approved visitor list.
  8. Using PATCH as today’s arrest search. PATCH is a Pennsylvania criminal-history check, not a live Bucks County booking feed.
  9. Assuming a warrant listing authorizes personal action. Do not confront or attempt to apprehend anyone. Report information to law enforcement.
  10. Using raw arrest data for regulated screening. USA-Arrests.org is not a consumer reporting agency. Employment, housing, credit, insurance and other FCRA-covered decisions require legally appropriate screening procedures.

General personal correspondence from family and friends goes to the scanning mail center: Bucks County, PA; inmate name and BCP number; P.O. Box 247; Phoenix, MD 21131. Legal mail, money orders and permitted publications follow different instructions and may go to the Doylestown facility.

Why is someone not showing in the Bucks County active-offender lookup?
